It was a hot and sunny day, the kind of day that makes you feel like you are about to evaporate right into the air. I had nothing to do, and lay staring up at the ceiling, trying to ignore my little brother amusing himself downstairs with his Nerf gun. He was shooting random bullets into the wall, and it just gave me more of a headache than I already had. Suddenly, I heard him let out a groan, as he accidentally shot a bullet into the balcony of my parents' room, adjacent to mine. He looked up and asked whether could go get it for him. I was about to refuse, but then suddenly the heat came to my head and I had a "brilliant" idea to get rid of my boredom. I ran to my balcony, then carefully stepped over the railings, gulping at the height I was from the floor. By then I was standing on the outer rim of my balcony, holding on to the outside of my railings. My brother stood below, completely confused as to what I am doing. With one hand on the railing and one hand on the wall for support, I reach with my legs over to the other balcony and manage to reach it at a risky angle with my legs nearly in the splits position. I quickly reach over with the hand that was previously on the wall and grabbed the railing of my parents' balcony, with my other hand now on the wall. Then, I hauled myself over to the outside of my parents' balcony and climbed in. Then I threw the bullet down to my brother who was gaping at me. Afterwards, thinking about it, I realized how stupid I had been.
